CARB-TCMPA is pleased to announce the launch of our new digital magazine, Policy & Practice: The Pulse of TCM and Acupuncture in Canada. This publication reflects our commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue, sharing valuable insights, and supporting the safe, ethical, and competent practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (TCM/A) across Canada.
As the national forum for the regulatory colleges of TCM/A in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador, CARB-TCMPA serves as the collective voice of TCM/A regulation in Canada. Policy & Practice aims to support our strategic priority to enhance organizational communications, increase stakeholder engagement, and disseminate information of public importance.
The first issue includes:
- An overview of federal regulatory changes to natural health products and their impact on the practice of TCM/A,
- Practical insights on herbology through an exploration of medicinal herb planting, reprinted from Medicinal Roots Magazine (MRM),
- Regional perspectives from the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia and the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta,
- A Q&A about the TCM/A profession, spotlighting our Magazine Editorial Advisory Committee members,
- An update from CARB-TCMPA’s Executive Director on our strategic vision and growth in 2024, and
- Updates on the Pan-Canadian Examinations and exam program enhancements from CARB-TCMPA’s Examinations Director and Lead Psychometrician (Spire Psychometrics).
